By road from South:
Take m11 slip road at junction 8a (Airport & a120 East Exit). Follow the a120, in the Colchester direction. Exit at signs for Great Dunmow and continue to the town centre. Turn left onto b184 (Rosemary Lane) signposted Thaxted. Continue for 6 miles. Pass through Thaxted bearing right at the top of the hill. Thaxted Hall will be found on the right after a quarter of a mile, just beyond the sports field. Turn right at the b1051 junction signposted Great Sampford & Haverhill, then immediately right into the drive.
By road from North:
Exit M11 at junction 10 and at the top of the slip road take the left exit onto the A505. Turn right at the second roundabout onto A1301 signposted Saffron Walden, pass under trunk road at Stump Cross continuing for 6 miles on B184 into Saffron Walden. Turn left at traffic lights just beyond church. Follow one way system keeping straight ahead until reaching traffic lights, turning right onto Thaxted Road (B184). Thaxted Hall will be found on the left after 5 miles. Turn left at the B1051 junction signposted Great Sampford & Haverhill then immediately right into the drive.
